Do it Right!
This is me at the height of my athletic powers but the balance and understanding wasn't there and my health was failing. I risked my health and life by using dangerous drugs like anabolic steroids in the blind persuit of my dreams. It was only later that I learned about correct training and nutrition and how to harness the power of mind and body together. It was then that I realized how unnecessary all my risk taking was. No goals or dreams are worth losing our long-term health over. Many of my friends and co-competitors were not as lucky as I was in recovering from the effects of these terrible drugs. Sometimes the only way to really appreciate your health, happiness and peace of mind is when you lose it. I am a strong advocate for drug-free training and I have searched hard and wide for the best possible natural methods to maximize your physical potential.
My motto is, prepare well, train hard and smart, learn to have fun with your workouts and appreciate the body you have.

7 Main aspects of the recipe
1) Fitness- It is vital you learn to train your body to be strong, flexible, relaxed, energetic, durable and quick. I will give you great, yet simple routines that you will enjoy and get great results from with minimum time out of your schedule.
2) Eating- Learn how to shop well, prepare quick, delicious and nutritious meals. You can eat great and enjoy your food.
3) Schedule- Learn how to become the boss of your schedule rather than the other way around. It is an art as well as a discipline to make sure there is enough time to do the things you need to do daily and weekly to maintain your strength and achieve your goals.
4) Thinking/Attitude- Learn how to use your mind like never before. It can be your greatest weapon as well as your biggest liability. Your mind has so much power, you must learn to harness and control it better.
5) Goals/Dreams- We give up so easily these days on our goals and dreams and compromise so much that we become stuck in a rut and ultimately live an unfulfilling life. Set goals that inspire you and revive dreams that have been buried and forgotten. As you develop strength, you develop confidence. As you achieve small goals they accumulate into bigger ones. Progress is contagious and steady progress is vital to realizing more of your potential and facilitating lasting change.
6) Relaxation- Tension is the number one reason we lose our balance physically, mentally and emotionally, or at least the build up of tension. Learn how to release your tension and "let go more" emotionally and not let tension and stress accumulate to the point that it causes you pain and discomfort and ultimately illness. It's time to learn how to have fun again, life shouldn't be all work, worry and stress.
7) Relationships- The most important relationship is with yourself. It is possible to learn to love yourself more and develop better self-esteem and a higher self-worth. We put ourselves under so much pressure and are so hard on ourselves sometimes that it is hard to be anything else to other people. Our relationships can be so much better with a few simple adjustments. I will show you how.
Personal Training
Training someone one-to-one is a very intimate relationship and I respect the trust you put in me and my responsibility to help you improve your physical capabilities and general wellbeing. I begin each relationship with a lead off session of life coaching to see if there is anything in a clients lifestyle that can be improved or reorganized to help our training program succeed (see life coaching for more details). My training philosophy is based on helping a clients understand every aspect of their training while learning how to develop good overall fitness through balanced muscular development, good posture, flexible joints, a strong cardiovascular system, quality diet and a good understanding of how and when to relax and rest. I believe in training hard but I mostly believe in training smart and having fun while you exercise. After all you are not getting paid to workout, you are paying me to get you to workout. I understand this and I want to make it as rewarding for you as possible. You will be amazed how much fun you can have getting fit.
The sessions are one hour long apart from the initial session of 1 1/2 hours.

Group Fitness
The main thing with group fitness is that everyone must be included and given the options to work as hard as they want to do as well as it being safe and effective to those with different physical capabilities. I believe all group sessions should be fun, but at the same time not out of control. There needs to be clear leadership and everyone must clearly hear and understand the instructions before a move is made. A good fitness session will include everthing needed to improve overall fitness. A good warm up and cool down provides the foundation for safety and optimum performance and recovery as does quality of form in how we perform the exercises. It is vital to learn good form early on and not get into bad habits. Modern group classes have come a long way since the early days of step and yoga. Good classes incorporate all modes of fitness from muscle building exercises, work for the core (abdomen and lower back), balance, flexibility, cardio as well as agility, power and relaxation. My classes are fun and easy to follow and a all inclusive. Whatever your sport, fitness goal, or current ability I can put together a group workout for your team or organization that will help you not only reach your coals but exceed them quicker than you thought possible.
Sessions last from just 1 hour to 3 hour clinics.
